5) Asian Legend

Address: 633 Gerrard St E, Toronto, ON M4M 1Y2

Overall Review: 9.0/10

With several locations across Ontario, Asian Legend has made a name for itself as a go to spot for Asian dishes.

When its first location opened in 1988 on Dundas Street (Chinatown), it was one of the first restaurants to introduce authentic Chinese food to the Toronto crowd.

With now over 33 years of culinary and restaurant management experience, Asian Legend has nearly perfected their food and customer experience by taking feedback from customers over the years.

This makes it a great place to try out, where you won’t have to spend too much.

Dim Sum Rating: 9.6/10

What I really liked about Asian Legend was how transparent they were about reducing the amount of unhealthy ingredients.

As our generation starts to become more health cautious, Asian Legend has made it a priority to reduce harmful oils, salts and MSG when preparing food while still ensuring the food taste just as great.

This is especially importance for someone like myself who takes care of their health.

Overall Review: 8.5/10

Dine & Dim is a popular local Chinese restaurant with a very clean and modern look.

Their restaurant doesn’t have a strong social presence but what I was able to find out was that they focus on Cantonese foods and sea food dishes, and Karaoke nights!

This makes it a great place for large groups of friends to enjoy affordable and authentic Chinese dim sum.

Dim Sum Rating: 8.1/10

While Dine & Dim is specifically known for their dim sum meals, they also do offer a large variety of other dishes I highly recommend as well as their dim sum.

They have everything from pork, shrimp, chives, and beef. If you are looking for vegetarian dim sum, I did not see much options as they mainly specialize in meat dishes.

Prices are fairly high, but when you taste their food and experience the restaurants customer service, you will understand why.

The price for dim sum all range around $8 for 4 – 5 pieces. You may need to order this as a side on top of their main meals.
