The founders of Guru Lakshmi, Kumar and Thana are husband and wife came to Mississauga looking for a restaurant that served South Indian food, but during that time there wasn’t many options, nor any good ones.
Combined with Kumar’s skills in business and Thana’s skills as an amazing chef, they made the decision that day to take their passion for Indian food and follow their family history of restaurant owners to start Guru Lakshmi.
Eventually their family members started to join the journey including their 2 daughters who help manage and operate the restaurant.

Some of my favorite dosa dishes are the Spinach “Palak” Dosa ($11), and the Mysore Dosa ($11).
